The weekend is in two hours. I'm excited. I don't really have anything to do either. So here I am.
What are you doing this weekend? Me? Well, thanks for asking. Tonite is drinks with the girls. Oh my. The girls. Since when have I ever had a group of friends with that label? Then tomorrow will be a day of shopping (comupter components, a better dress/alteration of current) and 1.5 hours will also be devoted to watering my mother's 30 plants. (Jenny, considering yourself lucky that your mom doesn't make you water hers.)
Speaking of the stupid dress. I'm thisclose to returning it and getting a new one.
time for: studying some tax files. I always get confused.

It's 1 in the morning. There's 10cm of snow on the ground. I hope I don't have to drive into Oakville in the morning.
time for: bed. it's gonna take me an hour to get to work tomorrow.. even if I don't have to go to Oakville.

freedom!! for now.
So... my parents have left for Tokyo/HK/China for all of 5 days and surprisingly, Carol and I have not gone to our disgusting take-out ways yet. We have not set foot in the FMP food court. We have not succumbed to T&T take out. We haven't even ordered Congee Wong yet.
Whaddaya know? I think we've grown.
Instead, we've been making homemade, albeit not the most health conscious dinners at home. And we've done all the dishes right away. AND we've kept the house clean. We woke up bright and early today and hit T&T, Food Basics and Galati for groceries so we wouldn't have the excuse of ordering out. Good for us, I say, good for us. Then again, we have a combined age of over 50, so I suppose taking care of ourselves should be the least we can do.
Oh, bought a dress for the grad ball yesterday. Question is, how low is too low? And will I be able to pull this off tastefully? Hmm.
time for: Dinner!

ow, it stings!!
Ho hum, ho hum. What a long day.
Had to go to oakville to see a client today (why do I always feel sleazy when I think of seeing clients??), have to go again tomorrow. They gave me a whole audit to do and I was quite overwhelmed by the sheer amount of documentation and procedures an audit involves. I've come to realize that I'm not a very organizied person, at least not by nature anyway. I had papers and files and notes scattered everywhere. If they weren't numbered, I'd be completely lost.
Also had my auditing midterm. I'm not sure how I did. I thought I did alright, but you can never tell with these things. Not sure how this prof marks.
Then on to the insane lineups at Keg. Worth it though. mmmm.. prime rib. Too bad Edward had a weird itch on his nose that wouldn't go away.
Edward: Stupid nose! Eve, can you chop it off for me?
Eve: How about setting the cold glass against it?
*Ed puts nose to glass*
Ed: Nah, doesn't work.
Eve: How about some lemon on it?
*Eve puts lemon on Ed's nose*
Ed: OW! it stings!!
*Eve laughs hysterically*
Does that make me mean?!?
time for: a shower. and then maybe some sleep??

choo choo!!
What was supposed to be a short 3 hour trip to Eaton Centre turned into an 7.5 hour walking marathon. My feet still hurt. My arms are sore even though Edward carried most of the bags. I'm turning into j-e-l-l-o. We had to take a detour to Yorkdale via TTC because the store in Eatons didn't have boots in my size in stock. Oh my, oh my. Why is it that the Spadina-University line seem so much more... uh.. ghetto than the Yonge line? People just seemed so thuggy. Augh, and they are just gonna keep breeding and breeding and there's all this poverty and ew! Teehee, stupid Kendra.
To all the superstitious readers out there (hi Edwin!), I know I'm not supposed buy shoes this early in the Chinese New Year. But technically, they were boots, so it doesn't really count. Edward, on the other hand, did buy shoes. So may the force be with him. :)
Picked up some wings from St. Louis on the way back from shopping, they have nachos on the menu again! Let's go! Who wants wings? It'll have to be after March 4th though. I'm watching what I eat and it's making me cranky. grrr.
time for: the latest episode of w/o a trace.. or veronica mars.. or apprentice? hmm.

sigh. why do i bother?
Watching Race finales are like watching HK movies. The beginning is promising, the middle is decent, the ending makes you want to break the tv and get your last two hours back.
CBS does this everytime. They edit it so you completely LOVE one particular team, and that team never wins. Ever. The winners are either hated teams (Flo-Zack, Kendra-Freddy) or teams people are indifferent to (Alex-Chris, Chip-Kim). Curse you, CBS, curse you. Curse you, whiny-crybaby-egomaniacs, curse you.
On a completely different subject, Edward and I are going to his Grad Ball. Yay! I think the last time I went to a semi-formal/formal event was in first year. Me excited. It'll make up for the Winter Wonderland dance we missed.
Work is still little bit slow which is really great because 1) this may give me time to study at work and 2) i'll have lots of energy when I get home to study. I have a midterm coming Monday and Thursday. Haven't really started, so what else is new? :D
time for: lunch!

b.o.r.e.d.
It's 11am. Do you know where your boss is?
I sure don't!
I've been sitting here for 2 hours and I've done maybe 15 minutes of work. Not because I'm lazy, but because I have nothing to do. For the rest of that 2 hours, I was putting my CA student application ready, answering emails, reading various blogs and cleaning my desk. Gave it a good scrubbing. Now the only thing I can think of is to read the manual for a program we use. Seriously, I'm going to read an instruction manual.
From what my coworkers have told me, there's not much to do here. The firm does not have that many clients. I guess that's a good thing in a way, since I can take longer to work on files in the beginning. But then again, it also means that I am not going to have much to learn from. Hmm.
So, am I taking everyone out for brunch this weekend? Is this what I've been hearing? Where are we going? How about dim sum? We never do dim sum!!
time for: some manual-reading.
