I remember reading about this last year. Thought it was quite intriguing, but didn't get a chance to go. So maybe I'll go this year. I know most festivals in t.o during the summer can be quite lame, but so what? If it sux, mags and I will just head over to somewhere with shopping! Win win situation, I tell ya.
Work has been absolutely ridiculous lately, I hardly know what I'm supposed to do myself and yet I have to find work for someone else to do, too? Can't wait 'til I'm working at the office again, driving to Brampton everyday is costing me lots of moola.
Does anyone know of any prepaid phone cards with really good rates to US?? So far the lowest I've found is around 2.5 cents, which is pretty low, but I'm just wondering.
Kinda all over the place tonite. My brain is in about 5 different directions.
Edward has nicely settled (temporarily) in Boston. He's in the process of hooking up various necessities (cell phone, SSN, bank account, etc.) of life and will be moving to his actually place with a roomate from CAL-LI-FORRRRN-NI-A on Sept. 1. I hope you are having fun, hunny!
Last but not least, I wish Becca lots and lots and lots and lots (and lots) of luck on her GREs on Saturday. You'll do great, lady. Remember to drink lots of juice. (I heard that's good for your brain!?!?)
time for: cleaning my room. for the 80th time this year.

gah!!
I think I've done a pretty good job controlling my brain from freaking out too much lately. (What? It could've been worse!)
And to think that I used to ridicule others for being too dependent and not being able to see the big picture. Karma is such a bitch. Yes, what's meant to be will still be. I still completely believe this.
It's just that right at this moment, part of me feels like I've been holding my breath since that stupid afternoon in June. It's taken a lot to prevent that part of me from thinking about the worse that can happen. There are so many naysayers.. but there are also ppl who say 4 years will fly by. I rather agree with the latter.
We've discussed and roughly sketched our future on numerous occasions.. sometimes briefly and light-heartedly (Tigger!)... sometimes more in-depth (but.. but.. but..)... but whatever the case may be, it always seem to lead to an agreement that a wonderful life together is quite possible.. and really, what's four years in the grand scheme of things?
Oh good god, I wanna roll my eyes at myself.
time for: shower and bedtime. it's getting late.

refreshed!
Ah, glorious work-free Saturday, how I enjoy your existence.
Today had been the first morning I had been able to sleep in in a while. Woke up at 8:30am, looked at the clock, chuckled and went back to sleep. Woke up again at 10:30am, looked at the clock, felt all cozy in my bed and went back sleep. Finally woke up at 11 and took my sweet time reading the paper and eating brunch before making plans for the day.
Headed over to a driving range with Ed (and co.) in the afternoon. I'm not much of a golfer, but I wanted to get out of the house. Just sat under the sun and read a magazine for two hours. Reading outside in fresh air felt fantastic.
Then hit Vaughn Mills, I'll have to go back again. I think my initial judgement on the monstrosity back when it opened was too harsh. It's not bad, has some great deals if you have the patience to actually walk through the mall. Just be sure to wear comfy shoes. And clothes that are easy to get out of in case you try a lot of stuff on.
Went to Taste of the Danforth after that. It was insanely crowded as expected, but so much more comfy than last year since the temp dropped at night. Had chicken souvlaki, then pork souvlaki, roasted corn and some ice-cream. mmmm... roasted corn. I think I could have half a dozen of those. Yum. I should've had more to make up for the fact that I couldn't have any last year. (cuz of braces)
I love lazy, fun filled Satrudays like today. I think the rest of the weekend will be just as good.
time for: shower. then sleep.

okay, what's next?
I knew I had a blog!! Been quite busy lately, have hardly had the time to sleep properly, let alone update my blog. For some reason, the hours between work and sleep just do not seem to be long enough.
Or maybe the lack of rage I've had lately has put me off my blogging. Anyhoo, I'm back. Must update..
The rafting trip was oodles and oodles of fun. The river itself wasn't that exciting, (it had its moments, but it was generally quite slow and tiring) but the chance to just hang out with friends and mock/bitch/laugh at everything in sight was a GREAT way to spend the weekend.
Oh, the mocking was fun.
"Hey, there's [insert town name]! Oops, it's gone."
"Oh, look at me, look at me! I'm wearing a light blue, practically see through bikini for rafting! And I'm wearing full make up on the river. AND I'm so cool, cuz I am asian and I have my circa 1999 blue contacts on!! Oh, and let's jump into the water for some unfathomable reason so my bikini is completely see through!!"
And then the bitching..
"What kind of car rental place closes at noon on a saturday??"
"Uh. The toilets don't flush." "Oh, it's broken?" "No, it's like a hole in the ground with a toilet on top." "WHAT?!?!?!"
"Why the hell are there holes in the walls of the co ed shower stalls??"
"Stupid @#$#!! flies!!"
But really, the laughter made it all worth while...
"I lost my shoe!"
"Mmhp, get away! get away!!", said someone in his sleep in the middle of the night. [insert stifled uncontrollable giggles]
"Oh shit, this is a single sleeping bag? I thought it was a double!"
*thunk* "[insert name], you broke the lamp!!!" "Oh no, I thought it was tied on on both ends!"
*SLAP* "What? It's an Ace!! No wait.. Queen plus 3..... gaugh!!"
*names have been withheld to protect the dorkuses.
So many more.. but some of them aren't quotes.. like ppl falling out of the raft.. again. How did we KNOW Ab was gonna fall out first? (Ab, we love you. W/O you, we'd laugh a lot less, and I mean that in the most loving way possible. *hugs*)
Good times, good times.

Good times, good times.

So what's next? How about a little trip up to Tremblant a week before Christmas? Just for the weekend. Apparently there's a deal for 3 day, 2 nights for around $250. This includes accomodations, transportation in greyhound-type bus from t.o to montreal and lift tickets for two days.
I'm in!! Who else?
time for: Dinner. So hungry.
