still here.

I've neglected by beloved blog long enough. It's been at least a month since I've last updated. Not quite sure what I've been doing, but there never seemed to be enough hours in the day and the month just flewwwwwww by.

My parents went on a month-long vacation which included 16 days on a cruiseship that weaved in and out of various parts of Europe. While the ship was crossing various bodies of water, they stuffed their tummies full of yummies onboard. I don't want to sound like an ungrateful brat, but that was a gooooooood month. No one bugged me about computers. No one insisting that I needed to eat chinese style fish. No one told me that I'm gaining/losing too much weight. I did have to spend about 5 hours a week attending to my mother's 25 orchids and 40 other various plants, but it was well worth it. (I didn't kill any this time! Yay!)

I really enjoyed setting my own time at home after work. Cooking dinner and eating at a reasonable time. Eating delicious and mostly healthy meals I actually enjoy. They may seem like trivial things, but after 24 years of being forced to eat "healthy" and often completely disgusting things, you cannot imagine how great it was to eat what I like. Hey, you try choking down a swim bladder every week and not feel the way I feel. Swim bladder, I tell you. *shudder*

Other than utilizing my peaceful free time at home to read a few books, I've been trying to get myself prepared for the CKE coming up in a mere 31 days. Am I ready? No. Am I close to ready? Hell no! Don't you know me better than that?!? Have been going to prep courses every Sunday for the past 9 weeks. They help quite a bit, but I still have a long way to go before I'm totally prepared for it. I don't understand why they schedule it for Jan. 4. Bastards. They are ruining all the candidates' holidays!

13 more days 'til Edward come back to t.o! 13 more days 'til we hit Tremblant! I suppose now's a good time to find a decent map.. and probably time for me to install the bindings on my snowboard. Under quite a bit of pressure to study quicker. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to concentrate well when Edward comes back. I'm not sure if I can bully my mind into concentrating on the fun world of taxes and audit when he's nearby. And if he's not nearby... well then, where the heck is he?!? I've been trying to keep a precise schedule as to how much time I spend each night on studying. These were last week's results:

Goal: 10 hours - all on Assurance material and related MC
Results: 5.5 hours
Remarks: Shit!

Maybe I'll do better this week?

time for: trying not to get too worked up.
